No Licence required!
Even if you've never seen a shotgun or even shot a gun, we warmly invite you to come down to our club and see what it's all about!
Anyone over the age of 12 can come and learn how to shoot Clay Targets. All beginners are fully supervised by one of our Experienced Members and taught the basics of breaking clays. You will start with a brief Safety Orientation Session with a provided gun, learning the basics of the shotgun. After this, you are taught the correct stance and how to hold the gun. Once you've got these basics, it's time to start shooting!
Clay target shooting is one of the safest sports in Australia. Everybody involved in the club is safety conscious and we all look out for each other. We will not allow anyone to shoot if they are affected by drugs or alcohol, including prescription drugs.
All equipment needed is provided by Wonthaggi Gun Club and there is NO LICENCE REQUIRED!!! You may even find yourself learning from a World Champion!
What is involved?
Come on down to the club on Monday 9th September 2024 at 4:00PM. BOOKINGS ARE COMPULSORY. Please contact the Club Secretary Mel Chapman on
0400 026 360 to secure your spot. ( WE MAY ALSO RUN OTHER SESSION TIMES PLEASE CONTACT US) Introduce yourself to one of our Members as a Come & Try Shooter and they will get you started. The cost involved is $45 for 25 targets.
This price includes:
Tuition, Coaching, Gun Hire, Ammunition, and Clay Targets.
As we value both your safety and ours we ask that beginners follow all directions given by our experienced Club Members. All children/teens under the age of 18 require parental permission. Parents/guardians of beginners under age 18 MUST remain at the Club while their child is shooting.
We also cater to Bucks, Hens, Birthdays, Corporate Days & Work Xmas Parties
Make your Bucks or Hens one to remember. We offer packages for events which include Tuition, Coaching, Gun Hire, Clay Targets & Ammunition.
