Memberships for 2025 Are Now Open!

At the Wonthaggi Clay Target Club, we offer a variety of memberships to suit your needs, whether you’re interested in practice or competition. Joining our club provides access to a welcoming, family-oriented sport in a safe environment.

Membership Benefits:

As a member, you will enjoy:
  • A challenging and fun sport in a social community atmosphere
  • Support from the Club Committee and fellow members
  • Optional membership with the Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA), which includes firearms insurance
  • Induction training for new members (please schedule your induction with the Inductions Coordinator; note that you cannot join and shoot on the same day.

Complete a membership form

Fill out the form at the clubhouse during opening hours. It must be submitted in person.

Choose payment option

We accept EFTPOS, credit card, and cash.

Firearm licence

You must bring your Firearms Licence or be in the process of applying for one.

Application verification

Your application will be reviewed and endorsed by the WGC Committee before being accepted.

If your application is successful:

  • You will receive a WGC membership number
  • Your form will be submitted to the ACTA for processing.
  • You will get your ACTA membership number and barcode via email.
  • An email welcome pack from the Club Secretary will provide information about the club, including WGC and ACTA rules. Please familiarise yourself with these rules before attending your induction.
  • Proof of membership for your genuine reason to own a firearm can be provided by letter upon request

Membership Renewals for 2025 are Now Open!

Please ensure you renew through the club secretary directly, not via the ACTA. Note that renewal fees have been updated for the upcoming year.

Renewal emails will be sent out during the first week of November. Please keep an eye on your inbox, and remember to check your junk or spam folders. Your current 2024 membership will expire on December 31st, 2024. After this date, members who have not renewed will be considered unfinancial and will not be allowed to shoot at the Wonthaggi Clay Target Club or any ACTA-affiliated clubs.

Full Member: $218.00

Access to practice and compete at WGC and all ACTA-affiliated clubs across Australia.

Partner Member: $178.00

Available for the partner of a full member living at the same address. Access to practice and compete as above.

Junior Member: $104.00

For individuals under 18 years old as of December 31 of the previous year. Access to practice and compete as above.

Veteran Member: $178.00

For individuals 65 years or older as of December 31 of the previous year. Access to practice and compete as above.

ACTA Recreational Member: $152.00

Enjoy recreational shooting activities.
